We hope this information will help residents to better protect themselves and their families for before, during, and after an emergency situation.
- Residents of condominiums located within an ordered evacuation zone will be asked to evacuate, either to another location of their choice or to a Red Cross shelter. No one should remain in the building.
In the event you need to evacuate at a moment's notice and take essentials with you, you probably will not have the opportunity to shop or search for the supplies you and your family will need. Every household should assemble a disaster supply kit and keep it up to date.
Disaster can strike without warning, forcing you to go for days without the basic necessities or to evacuate your home. Relief workers will be on the scene following a disaster, but may not be able to reach you immediately.
You need to be prepared and know the steps to take before, during and after a disaster. This guide will help you and your family plan for a variety of emergency situations, persevere during them, and recover afterward.
All registered persons will be called when an evacuation order is issued. A Palm Tran bus or Palm Tran Connection vehicle will transport you to the nearest American Red Cross hurricane evacuation shelter.
To pre-register call Palm Tran at (561) 649-9838.

Taxpayers should be on the lookout for new variations of tax-related scams. In the latest twist on a scam related to Social Security numbers, scammers claim to be able to suspend or cancel the victim’s SSN. It’s yet another attempt by con artists to frighten people into returning ‘robocall’ voicemails.
