Town Hall Building Task Force Committee

Purpose and Committee Duties

The Town Hall Building Task Force Committee is being established to assist the Town Council and Town Staff in evaluating, planning, and providing community input regarding proposed renovations and improvements to Town Hall Building. The Task Force will serve in an Advisory capacity and provide recommendations intended to support the long-term operational, functional, and aesthetic needs of the Town Hall Building.

Committee Duties and Responsibilities

Members of the Task Force may be asked to:

• Review and discuss proposed Town Hall renovation concepts, layouts, and improvement plans.
• Provide feedback regarding functionality, accessibility, safety, efficiency, and public use of Town Hall spaces.
• Assist in identifying priorities, goals, and community needs related to the renovation project.
• Attend scheduled meetings, workshops, and presentations with Town staff, consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors as needed.
• Evaluate potential design features, technology upgrades, and space utilization options.
• Provide recommendations to the Council regarding renovation concepts and project direction.
• Serve as community ambassadors by encouraging constructive public engagement and input.
• Maintain compliance with Fl Sunshine Law, Public Records requirements, and Town policies.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with fellow Committee Members, Town Officials, and Staff throughout the duration of the project.

General Information

• The Task Force Committee will serve in an Advisory Capacity only.
• Meetings may be held periodically throughout the planning and renovation process.
• Participation requires a commitment of approximately six (6) months to one (1) year depending on project scope and scheduling.
• Committee Members are expected to actively participate and attend in-person meetings.
• Final decisions regarding renovations, funding, and project approvals remain with the Town Council and Town Staff.
