Town Hall Project Update Page - March 2026

Effective March 17, 2026, a newly elected Town Council majority suspended all activities related to previous issued and awarded work from the RFP/CMAR advertised for a new Town Hall project, designed by CPZ Architects, including all subcontractors under the related RFQ & RFP processes and assignments. The Legislative Actions by the new Council rescind, suspend or cancel all related services, submittals and deadlines until further action and notice.

At its April 14, 2026 Regular Town Council Meeting:

The new Council, getting down to work on their priorities and preferences in their first full Regular Town Council meeting, engaged in involved discussions on moving forward on articulated priority projects, with much input from the public and various service providers and directed Town Administration and Town Legal to pursue exploration of proper process to revisiting and, or reevaluating "Adaptive Reuse" of the Town's current Town Hall facilities, conditions and infrastructure. The last comprehensive report on this topic, produced by Island Designs in 2018, will be evaluated as a starting point, then match up appropriate process, code and requirements to assess the repair, rehabilitation, reconstruction and repurposing of the town's assets for the foreseeable future.

In related actions the Town Council approved project studies, agreements and plans assignments on:

  • A new "Master Corridor Plan Lite" study to be facilitated and produced through the talents, staff and expertise of the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council  (TCRPC) in conjunction with Town Council, staff, our residents and public input workshops to coordinate all the various design and infrastructure elements and challenges for improving the FDOT owned A-1-A ROW and adjacent pedestrian ways through Town.
  • Authorized Mock Roos, our town contracted Consulting Utility Engineers, to begin the process for engineering, design and implementation of pending construction RFPs to completely rebuild, replace and modernize the Town's only "Master Lift Station" located in the middle of the Town for future trouble-free gravity sewer system operations for decades to come.

Stay tuned to our public calendar for meeting  updates and opportunity to weigh in on the amenities important to you our residents. Town project information is updated and discussed at most public meeting of the Town Council and public comments are taken at scheduled Town public meetings. We encourage and hope to see our residents and interested parties participate in the development timeline and options and attend the "ribbon cutting" ceremonies at a date to be determined in the near future.
