Hurricane Season begins June 1 and ends November 30

The Town of South Palm Beach has prepared this informational page to assist our residents in the event of a hurricane by providing links to important agencies. We hope this information will help residents to better protect themselves and their families for  before, during, and after an emergency situation.

First and foremost it is important to develop a plan to deal with emergency situations. Your plan should be simple and easy to follow, and include Property Protection Measures, Self Reliant Activities, Boat Owner Storm Preparation, Pet Needs, Special Medical Needs, Evacuation and Shelter Plans. We have included a few special links which will be valuable to you in your time of need and preparation.

A substantial portion of the Town of South Palm Beach is in the Special Flood Hazard Area.  For additional information on local flood hazard, please review the blue pages in the yellow pages phone book titled "Weather".  Also, local AM/FM Radio stations and TV Stations will provide up to the minute storm and flood information.

The Palm beach County Emergency Management website:

https://discover.pbcgov.org/pzb/NewsReleases/Hurricane.aspx   will also provide storm and flood information along with any changes in Hurricane Shelter Information.
